Cemex is a Mexican multinational building materials company and a long-term industry leader in cement products world wide. Curious about the growth and depth of the market, Cemex’s corporate office solicited Active Living International to assess the potential for retirement housing as a new and burgeoning real estate market sector.
We produced a benchmark study that defined the potential for retirement housing and the viability for construction of retirement communities throughout the country, and ultimately helped Cemex sell cement as well as support the need for senior housing in Mexico for both the local and international market.
The study was recognized by CEMEX and the banking industry in Mexico as the seminal study of the vacation and retirement housing market and was distributed by CEMEX to their key accounts throughout the country. Subsequently, CEMEX commissioned Active Living International for two additional studies.
