Scott Eckstein contributes significant experience in senior housing to the consulting team at Active Living International. Based in the Los Angeles area, Mr. Eckstein has been directly involved in the company’s projects in The Americas and Europe.

Mr. Eckstein has been influential in the development of senior communities. His professional involvement has promoted the creation of specialized, luxury environments for active, senior lifestyles. He specializes in the creation and operation of a unique range of social and residential alternatives for the aging in the senior living industry.

In 1996, Mr. Eckstein began his first assisted living development project in Brooklyn, New York. The project satisfied the tremendous needs in the area for its growing senior population. He later became a member of the team that developed the first purpose-built active adult community in Europe, followed by a tenure operating a senior housing business in Los Angeles, California.

   

Prior to project planning for Sensara Benalmádena, Mr. Eckstein was with the development arm of ARV Assisted Living to supervising the development process for seven communities throughout the United States. He began his career in residential and commercial real estate, with The Centennial Companies and Cornerstone Ventures in Washington D.C.

Throughout his career, Mr. Eckstein’s projects have won numerous awards for collaborative design efforts. He has authored publications for Assisted Living Success and contributes as a panelist at real estate and senior housing conferences. In November, 2005, Mr. Eckstein was invited to speak to delegates of the NAHB International Conferences in Mexico City. He is a member of the 50+ Housing Council of the National Association of Home Builders.

Mr. Eckstein holds a Masters in Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business as well as a Bachelor of Science from The American University in Washington D.C.
